[loveit] Gardening with summer started

Live in harmony with nature, the mother nature.

Texas starts getting hot on these days. Yet our garden is still full of lives here and there. In front yard, we have birds coming for food and entertaining us with their beautiful voice.

In backyard, we have prepared for our cuties their little house that they can come and stay with us.

Sometimes, we meet some little friends that are so adorable. I just want to play with them, and of course our little boy loves them too. Yes, this little lady bug is the one. Is she cute?

And this year, we planted some korean melon seed. The seeds 've sprouted

Our garden can't be completed without the flowers. They give us their beautiful appearance and their fragrance as their sweet gift.

Last but not least, we live with mother nature and enjoy our lives with her. Just love her.
This picture was taken in a Sunday morning with wonderful weather outside. We thought why didn't we just got out and enjoy the lunch. I felt completely Awesome!

Hope you enjoy the mother nature too.

Happy gardening, everyone!

[makeit] Sewing - Baby series - Wearable Blanket for Baby

In the Fall 3 year ago, I made 2 wearable blanket for me and my hubby from fleece fabric. Those two are so useful that we can use in any occasion such as playing game, watching tv, reading books, etc.
Those snuggies wearable blanket are so convenient that I thought I should made one for my baby. Of course, you can buy it in the store (you know me, I like to save some extra money and make it myself to put some extra love in it)

After made this, I thought this was so cute, warm, and soft (because it's fleece). My baby was born at the beginning of summer, so I had to wait until winter to fit him in. And yes, my little man loved it. That is all I need.

You can find the tutorial in makeit-loveit

Would you love to make one for your loved one?

Thank you and Happy Sewing!

[makeit] Sewing - Baby series - Hooded Baby Towel

My little baby,
My big inspiration.

Have you ever seen somethings and thought that would be nice if you could do it yourself?

When I knew that I was having a baby, I started to shop around for baby products. As many of you, I had the same feeling when seeing the baby stuff. I thought those are cutest stuff in the world. And at the same time, I had other thoughts, guess what? Why didn't I make it myself? My baby could feel love when using his mom handmade things. I thought that would be very nice.
Then I headed to Fabric store (I usually go to Hancock Fabric) to choose the fabric and material. Of course, I bought more than I needed (just in case I may make something else for baby later). ha.
In stead of search baby products, I searched on DIYs projects, and there were tons popped up. I couldn't wait so long to start.
First project was Hooded Baby Towel that I followed purl bee tutorial with all the material that I bought from Hancock fabric.

The feeling of holding your baby in a towel that I made it myself is so beautiful? I just love it every time my little boy finished bath time and was covered by this towel. He was looked too cute with it. [oops, I didn't take any picture of him with this towel.]

Have you tried to make thing yourself? Did you love it? Tell me in the comment.

Happy sewing!
